Lakeview Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to the Lakeview Spelling Bee Winners! During the week of January 19th grade level spelling bees were conducted. From these two winners from each grade level were selected to advance to the district spelling bee. The Center Cass District Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 1:00 pm at Prairieview. Congratulations to all who participated and good luck to the finalists: Nikitha Gade, Cyrus Santiago, Brett Cohen, Trupti Potdukhe, Kellyn Maguire and Cameron Welker!!!!!!

Congratulations to Nick Sum, seventh grader, who participated in the Illinois State Junior Olympic Archery Development Tournament on Saturday, January 16, 2010. He took first in the state for boys in his age group shooting with a recurve bow. He beat the total of the boy that won last year by twenty points! Congratulations to Nick and good luck as he continues on with his competitions!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball Team!

Last Saturday, the Varsity Girls Basketball Team finished their competition in the Westmont Rotary Club Tournament. After losing their first game in the tournament, the Spartan defense took control of their last two games and captured the Consolation Championship Trophy.

A special congratulations to Shannon Snyder who was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Way to go Spartans and Shannon!!!

Good Luck to the Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams tomorrow, Saturday, as they compete in the Westmont Rotary Basketball Tournament.
