I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Lakeview Families a Happy Thanksgiving! Hopefully you will eat good food and find time for rest and relaxation.
The Lakeview students have been busy these past few weeks. The Student Council and Make A Difference Club have organized a Stand Up For Kids Drive. Stand Up for Kids is a nationally acclaimed volunteer organization dedicated to helping homeless, runaway and at-risk youth in over 42 cities nationwide. They not only feed and clothe children, but also attempt to encourage and motivate them by providing straightforward mentoring, emergency resources and help find them the tools they need to get off the street. The Lakeview students have been collecting donations and will continue to do so until November 24th. Donations include: single serve food items that are healthy and don't require cooking, fruit juice, socks, winter hats, winter gloves & sweatshirts.
Congratulations to the District 66 Music Boosters on another successful Fannie May Sale! This year the students sold over $28,000.00 worth of Fannie May products. The Music Boosters made about $4,000.00 and individual student accounts also acquired $4,000.00 in profits. Thank you to everyone who supported this event!
